We are seeking aTax Managerfor a leading global company in the retail sector.
You will be the strategic lead for the tax function in Mexico, ensuring strict regulatory compliance and optimizing the tax burden within a dynamic international environment.
Your role will be fundamental in risk mitigation and general financial reporting.Core ResponsibilitiesCompliance Oversight:Supervise and ensure the accurate determination, reconciliation, and filing of all federal and local taxes (provisional payments, monthly and annual returns) for Mexican entities.Tax Recoveries:Lead the process for VAT refund and offset requests, efficiently managing interactions with the SAT (Mexican Tax Authority).
Audit Management:Serve as the primary point of contact for coordinating responses to audits and inquiries from the SAT and external auditors.Transfer Pricing:Oversee compliance with Transfer Pricing regulations, coordinating the annual study for intercompany transactions (inventory purchases, royalties, services).
Regulatory Monitoring:Proactively monitor reforms and changes in Mexican tax legislation,



analyzing their impact and developing adaptation strategies.Global Reporting:Prepare and ensure the accuracy of theTax Reporting Packagefor the foreign headquarters, includingDeferred Taxcalculations under international standards (IFRS/US GAAP).
Process Improvement:Lead automation initiatives and process improvements within the tax department, including optimizing the use of ERP systems (such as SAP).
Candidate ProfileEducation:Bachelor's Degree in Accounting / Public Accounting (CPA equivalent) with a professional license.Professional Experience:+10 years of proven experience in Tax, including experience leading teams.Background:Experience in aBig Fourfirm or large-scale accounting and consulting firms is highly preferred.Languages:Advanced conversational and professional English proficiency.Systems:Experience and knowledge ofSAP(participation in implementations is a plus).
