About The Role

What if your deep knowledge of atmospheric science, climate modeling, and earth systems could directly shape how AI reasons about the planet's most complex problems? We're looking for Atmospheric Science experts to help build and train cutting-edge AI models — designing rigorous, real-world problems that push AI reasoning to its limits.

This is a fully remote, adaptable contract role built for researchers and scientists who want to put their expertise to work on something genuinely new. No prior AI experience needed — just a strong scientific foundation and a passion for getting things right.

What You'll Do

- Develop, solve, and review advanced atmospheric science problems grounded in real-world relevance
- Apply your expertise in climate modeling, meteorology, ecology, or sustainability to design complex, rigorous problem sets
- Evaluate AI-generated scientific reasoning for accuracy, depth, and scientific integrity
- Collaborate asynchronously with AI researchers and fellow domain experts to push the quality of AI scientific reasoning forward
- Ensure scientific rigor, clarity, and depth across all deliverables
- Work independently on task-based assignments fully on your own schedule





Who You Are

- Master's or PhD in Atmospheric Science, Climate Science, Environmental Science, or a closely related field
- Deep expertise in at least one of: climate modeling, atmospheric dynamics, meteorology, ecology, or sustainability science
- Comfortable coding in Python or R for research or quantitative analysis
- Exceptional written communication skills — you can translate complex science into clear, structured problem statements
- Naturally detail-oriented with a high standard for scientific accuracy
- Fluent in English

Nice to Have

- Prior experience with data annotation, data quality assessment, or AI evaluation workflows
- Background in scientific writing, peer review, or curriculum development
- Familiarity with AI tools or language models as an end user
- Experience communicating science to non-specialist audiences
