Data Integration Lead – IBM DataStage

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Data Integration Lead with strong IBM InfoSphere DataStage expertise to support production ETL processes, resolve incidents, and deliver enhancements.

This role requires hands-on experience with DataStage, Oracle SQL and PL/SQL, UNIX/Linux, and Control-M. The selected candidate will own production incidents and enhancement requests from root-cause analysis through testing and deployment.

Key Responsibilities

- Own and resolve DataStage production incidents and defects end-to-end.
- Conduct root-cause analysis and implement permanent solutions.
- Develop, test, and deploy fixes following established SDLC and release processes.
- Implement enhancement requests and change requests within the DataStage environment.
- Design, develop, and optimize DataStage jobs and parallel jobs.
- Configure job parameters, shared containers, sequences, and reusable components.
- Develop batch and real-time data integration solutions.
- Monitor and troubleshoot production ETL pipelines.
- Respond to alerts and incidents according to established SLAs.
- Optimize DataStage jobs, Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, and UNIX processes.
- Use Control-M or a comparable scheduler to manage job definitions, dependencies, calendars, and alerts.
- Troubleshoot scheduling and dependency failures.
- Perform regression testing and support production deployments.
- Manage releases and deployments across multiple environments.




- Communicate with clients and technical stakeholders.
- Document incidents, solutions, deployments, and operational procedures.

Required Qualifications
- Strong hands-on experience with IBM InfoSphere DataStage.
- Experience designing and supporting DataStage parallel jobs.
- Familiarity with DataStage development and administration.
- Strong Oracle SQL and PL/SQL skills.
- Knowledge of query tuning, indexes, and partitioning.
- Solid UNIX/Linux skills.
- Shell scripting, file handling, job log analysis, and process troubleshooting experience.
- Experience with Control-M or a similar enterprise scheduler.
- Proven experience resolving production ETL incidents under SLA pressure.
- Strong ability to trace data flows and isolate defects across multiple systems.
- Experience with version control, CI/CD, release processes, and multi-environment deployments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work directly with clients and stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications
- Snowflake experience.
- DataStage administration experience.
- Experience with real-time data integration.
- Experience leading technical teams or coordinating production support activities.
