The Operating System Specialist serves as a change agent and continuous improvement leader, responsible for driving Lean transformation, improving operational efficiency, reducing costs, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement throughout the organization.
Responsibilities Lead the implementation and execution of continuous improvement initiatives aligned with the organization's goals and vision.
Supervise and support team members involved in continuous improvement and operational excellence activities.
Facilitate Lean, Kaizen, and process improvement events across manufacturing and administrative functions.
Partner with department leaders to identify opportunities for improvement and enhance operational performance.
Manage Policy Deployment activities, KPI reporting, and the maintenance of strategic planning tools, including the X-Matrix.
Drive the implementation and sustainment of Managing for Daily Improvement (MDI) practices to ensure accountability and continuous performance improvement.
Promote a Lean culture through employee training, coaching, and the application of continuous improvement methodologies and tools.
Support problem‑solving and root cause analysis efforts across all business functions.
Maintain visual management systems, performance scorecards, communication boards, audit records, and 5S standards.
Ensure the effective execution of audits, continuous improvement programs, and follow‑up actions resulting from Kaizen activities.
Work collaboratively with other company locations to support operational excellence initiatives as required.
Foster a safe, productive, and engaged work environment that encourages teamwork and continuous improvement.
Support environmental management initiatives by identifying risks, ensuring compliance, recommending process improvements, and reporting environmental concerns.
Perform other duties and projects as assigned by management.
Qualifications Education and/or experience: Student or recent bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, business management, operations management or equivalent.
1 year of leadership experience.
1 year of background in the training, support and implementation of Lean Tools including facilitation of Kaizen activities or educational equivalent.
Proficient within MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Visio, and Outlook.
Excellent written, verbal presentation, coaching and interpersonal skills. Able to communicate with a diverse group of individuals at all levels in the organization.
Able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
