our client is a fast-growing, venture-backed company building and scaling its accounting function to support rapid growth. This is a confidential search; the hiring company's identity will be shared with candidates who advance to later stages of the process.

responsibilities

- prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and monthly close schedules
- support the preparation of financial statements and management reporting
- partner with the director of accounting and controller to bring accounting processes in-house
- assist with erp and financial systems implementation (netsuite experience preferred)
- reconcile cash, ar/ap, fixed assets, and intercompany transactions
- coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors
- collaborate with operations and product teams to ensure proper accounting for new initiatives




- identify opportunities for automation and process improvement
- ensure compliance with u.s. Gaap and company policies

qualifications

- bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (cpa or cpa candidate preferred)
- 3-6 years of progressive accounting experience (public accounting or startup experience a plus)
- strong understanding of u.s. Gaap and month-end close procedures
- hands‑on experience with erp systems; netsuite experience preferred
- strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- excellent written and verbal communication skills
- experience documenting processes and supporting system implementations
- comfortable in a fast-paced, evolving environment
