Job Mission

SEGULA Technologies Mexico is seeking a proactive, strategic, and solutions-oriented HR Generalist to support our growing engineering operations in Mexico City. Operating under a hybrid work arrangement, you will oversee the end-to-end employee lifecycle—partnering directly with Engineering Operations, Project Managers, and technical consultants to drive employee retention, performance management, labor compliance, and talent development.

You will act as the key strategic HR partner for both office-based personnel and engineers deployed directly at client sites across Central Mexico.

Key Responsibilities1.

Employee

Relations &

- HR Business Partnering

- Serve as the primary HR point of contact for technical consultants, DREs, Project Leads, and site managers across client accounts.
- Conduct regular check-ins, exit interviews, and stay interviews to gauge employee engagement, identify turnover risks, and propose retention strategies.
- Manage employee relations issues, conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and performance improvement plans (PIPs) in alignment with corporate values and local legislation.

Labor Law

Compliance &

- Legal Operations

- Ensure strict adherence to the Mexican Labor Law (Ley Federal del Trabajo), NOM-035 (Psychosocial Risk), and local labor regulations across all operating regions.
- Oversee specialized service contractor compliance (REPSE) for outsourced engineering projects and client site access requirements.
- Coordinate voluntary resignations, employment terminations, and severance calculations alongside internal/external legal advisors to mitigate labor contingency risks.

Talent

Management, Onboarding &

- Development





- Partner with Talent Acquisition to ensure a smooth transition for new hires from recruitment to full operational deployment.
- Facilitate onboarding programs, annual performance appraisal cycles, career development planning, and skill matrix reviews for technical engineering teams.
- Collaborate with global/regional L&D; teams to identify technical training needs and execute learning pathways.

Payroll Input

Audit &

Benefits Management

- Oversee the accuracy of payroll variables, incident tracking, overtime authorizations, and variable bonuses prior to payroll calculation.
- Manage local employee benefit programs (Major Medical Insurance / SGMM, Life Insurance, Food Vouchers / Vales de Despensa) and handle complex employee inquiries.
- Analyze key HR metrics (headcount movement, turnover, absenteeism, employee satisfaction) to present actionable insights to HR Leadership and Business Unit Heads.

Qualifications &

- Requirements

- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Industrial Relations, or Law. (Postgraduate studies or certifications in Labor Law are a plus).
- Experience: 3–5 years of experience in an HR Generalist or HRBP role within an engineering consulting firm, Automotive Tier-1/OEM, IT services, or technology outsourcing industry.
- Legal &
- Regulatory Expertise: Strong, up-to-date knowledge of Mexican Labor Law (LFT), IMSS/INFONAVIT regulations, REPSE compliance, and NOM-035.
- Software Tools:




- Proficiency in HRIS systems (e.g., Workday, SuccessFactors, ADP, or CONTPAQi).
- Intermediate-to-advanced skills in MS Excel (data analysis, pivot tables, VLOOKUPs) and PowerPoint.
- Languages: Advanced English (mandatory written and spoken fluency to interact with integral leadership and utilize international HR platforms).
- Work Scheme: Ability to work in a Hybrid scheme based in Mexico City (CDMX office presence combined with home office), with occasional visits to regional client sites (e.g., Puebla, Querétaro, Toluca).
