At Academy+, we are looking for an English teacher to work with 2nd and 3rd grade elementary students through a dynamic, communicative, and fully immersive methodology.

Our students acquire English naturally through realia, visual aids, games, songs, movement, everyday situations, and hands-on materials. Classes are taught entirely in English, even with our youngest learners. Teachers should avoid translation, explanations in Spanish, and traditional lessons focused primarily on memorizing grammar rules.

Responsibilities

- Teach online classes entirely in English.
- Adapt realia and visual resources to an online learning environment.
- Design dynamic, practical, and age-appropriate activities for young learners.
- Teach vocabulary and language structures through meaningful, real-life contexts.
- Develop students’ listening and speaking skills.
- Create a positive environment where students feel safe and confident participating.
- Keep young learners actively engaged through visual, interactive, movement-based, and varied activities.
- Prepare lesson plans and monitor students’ progress.
- Participate in assessments and other academic activities.

Requirements
- B2+ English proficiency supported by an official certification.
- Bachelor’s degree in English Language Teaching, Languages, Foreign Languages, Education, or a related field.
- Previous teaching experience with young learners, preferably children in 2nd–3rd grade or similar age groups.




- Ability to communicate exclusively in English throughout the class.
- Ability to teach through realia, images, gestures, examples, movement, and real-life situations.
- Familiarity with strategies for teaching young learners, such as TPR (Total Physical Response), games, songs, and visual support, is highly desirable.
- A warm, patient, cheerful, energetic, enthusiastic, and approachable personality, with the ability to build rapport with young children through a screen.
- Creativity, responsibility, punctuality, and effective classroom management skills.
- A personal computer, stable internet connection, and functioning camera and microphone.
- A quiet, well-lit, and appropriate space for teaching.

Work Modality and Tentative Schedule
- 100% online
- Monday to Friday, with classes scheduled between 8:00 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. (Mexico City time).
- Teaching hours will be assigned within this time frame and may vary depending on group availability.
