About the Role
We are looking for a Salesforce Experience Cloud Developer to support a large-scale migration from a legacy platform to Salesforce.
This role will focus primarily on designing, building, and configuring Salesforce Experience Cloud sites that will allow external users to securely access self-service reporting and business information.
The developer will be responsible for configuring the Experience Cloud security and sharing model to ensure external users have appropriate access to sensitive information, including healthcare-related claims and appeals data.
The project also includes a reporting modernization initiative where existing Power BI dashboards will transition from a legacy SQL reporting database to Salesforce as the new data source. Previous Power BI experience is preferred but not required.
The adecuado candidate combines strong hands-on Salesforce Experience Cloud development and configuration experience with a solid understanding of Salesforce security, sharing, and external-user access.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and configure Salesforce Experience Cloud sites for external-facing users.
- Configure and customize Experience Cloud using Experience Builder and Customer/Partner Community templates.
- Design and configure the Salesforce sharing and security model for external users.
- Manage external-user access patterns, including sharing rules, guest-user access, profiles, permissions, and community licenses.
- Ensure appropriate access controls for sensitive healthcare information, including claims and appeals data.
- Configure reports and self-service reporting capabilities within Experience Cloud.
- Support the transition of existing Power BI dashboards from a legacy SQL database to Salesforce as the new data source.
- Assist with adapting Power BI data models to Salesforce objects and field structures while preserving existing report logic and DAX measures.
- Collaborate with Salesforce Integration Developers on APIs and data endpoints required by Experience Cloud and reporting solutions.
- Participate in testing, troubleshooting, documentation, and deployment activities.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of relevant Salesforce experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with Salesforce Experience Cloud, including site creation and configuration.
- Experience using Experience Builder and Customer Community and/or Partner Community templates.
- Strong understanding of the Salesforce sharing and security model.
- Hands-on experience configuring access for external and guest users, including sharing rules, profiles, permissions, and community licenses.
- Experience implementing secure access to sensitive or restricted data.
- Understanding of security and privacy considerations when working with healthcare or regulated data.
- Ability to collaborate with technical and functional teams to translate business requirements into Salesforce solutions.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced English communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Power BI, including DAX, data modeling, and Power Query.
- Experience connecting Power BI to Salesforce or migrating reporting from SQL-based data sources to Salesforce.
- Experience adapting reporting models to Salesforce objects and relationships.
- Salesforce Experience Cloud Consultant certification.
- Previous experience building Salesforce portals for healthcare, claims, appeals, case management, or other regulated-data environments.
- Experience working with Salesforce APIs and integration teams.
