Senior QA Automation Engineer

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior QA Automation Engineer with strong experience in UI and REST API automation. You will design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks while supporting functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.

The adecuado candidate has hands-on experience with Playwright or Selenium and API automation using Karate or ReadyAPI.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable and reusable test automation frameworks.
- Develop automated UI tests using Playwright or Selenium.
- Develop and execute REST API automation using Karate or ReadyAPI.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
- Create and maintain automated test suites for critical business workflows.
- Validate APIs, backend processes, and data using SQL queries.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
- Analyze failures, troubleshoot defects, and identify root causes.
- Collaborate with developers, product owners, business analysts, and other stakeholders.
- Participate actively in Agile/Scrum ceremonies.
- Maintain automation documentation, reports,



and testing evidence.

Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in software testing with a strong focus on test automation.
- Hands-on experience with Playwright or Selenium.
- Strong REST API automation experience using Karate or ReadyAPI.
- Experience designing and maintaining reusable automation frameworks.
- Experience with functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
- Proficiency with TestNG or JUnit.
- Experience with Maven and Git.
- Experience with Jenkins or Azure DevOps.
- Strong API testing and backend validation knowledge.
- Ability to write SQL queries for data validation.
- Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Strong analytical, debugging, problem-solving, and communication skills.
