? Tooling & Stamping Sr. Engineer | Apodaca, Nuevo León

Are you a hands-on engineering professional who thrives on solving complex manufacturing challenges and driving new product launches from concept to production?

At Collis de México , we're looking for a Tooling & Stamping Sr. Engineer ( Progressive Die Designer) to lead tooling development, support New Product Introduction (NPI) programs, and drive continuous improvement initiatives within our wire forming and metal components manufacturing operations.

This is a highly visible role where you'll collaborate with customers, suppliers, and cross-functional teams while making a direct impact on quality, productivity, and operational performance.

What You'll Do

? Lead tooling and process development for new product launches

? Review customer drawings and specifications to ensure manufacturability

? Coordinate prototype builds, tooling trials, and production validations

? Design, improve, and troubleshoot:

- Stamping dies
- Fixtures
- Gauges
- Wire forming tooling

? Partner with Production, Quality, and Maintenance teams to optimize manufacturing performance ? Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions for tooling and process-related issues

? Develop and qualify tooling suppliers while managing project timelines, costs, and performance

? Support APQP, PFMEA, Control Plans, PPAP, and customer-specific quality requirements

? Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing, SMED, and Kaizen methodologies

What We're Looking For

✅ Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering,



or related field

✅ 5+ years of experience in:

- Tooling Engineering
- Tooling Design & Manufacturing
- Stamping Operations
- Wire Forming
- Metal Fabrication

✅ Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks ✅ Experience designing and troubleshooting production tooling, dies, fixtures, and gauges

✅ Strong understanding of:

- Stamping
- Bending
- Welding
- Wire Forming
- Metal Fabrication Processes

✅ Ability to interpret engineering drawings, GD&T;, and customer specifications ✅ English communication skills to collaborate with customers and suppliers

Preferred Qualifications

⭐ Automotive, HVAC, Appliance, or Industrial Manufacturing experience

⭐ Experience supporting New Product Introduction (NPI)

⭐ Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma knowledge

⭐ Experience working with international customers and suppliers

⭐ Familiarity with Mastercam
