- Responsible for classifying Western Digital’s products, components and technology with:
- - Assignment of Harmonized Tariff Schedules (HTS) in accordance with the importing and exporting country tables. Knowledge of GRI’s, understanding of referring Chapter Notes, Section notes & Cross Rulings.
- Assignment of Export Control Classification Numbers (ECCN's) according to the Bureau of Industry and Security's, Commerce Control List (CCL)
- Support implementation of approved internal trade projects related to classification and other import and export area, submit binding rulings when necessary and applicable Support denied party screening & Country of Origin
- Communicate with relevant vendors, engineering design /Product Management/Sales/Procurement team to determine and validate product classification.
- Respond and maintain classification data in the Oracle-GTM, and complete classifications assigned within the defined turnaround time.
- Ensure data integrity related to classification and value information declared to Customs authorities.
Responsible for ensuring legal compliance within government rules and regulations pertaining to classification
- Participate and Contribute to the development of Trade operations team by identifying opportunities for process automation and simplification.
- Provide support and details to the supervisor on the monthly KPI.
- Responsible for any other task that is assigned by the management from time to time.
Experience

- 2 - 3 years: similar position or related activities
Education

- Bachelors or better in International Business or related field
