Travel 50%+ across Mexico, USA and Latin America Reports to Commercial Director Type Full-time About the role This is not a desk job with occasional site visits. This is a plant job with an office to come back to. You'll be inside bakeries and food plants — on the line, next to the ovens, with the maintenance crew — installing and commissioning equipment, dialing in application systems, and solving the problems that only show up during a real production run. When a customer's line isn't performing, you're the person they call, and you're the person who figures it out. You'll also be the technical voice our customers trust. Not selling, but earning credibility the hard way: by fixing what's broken and explaining why it broke. What you'll do Install, commission, and start up equipment and application systems at customer sites. Run trials on live production lines: adjust parameters, measure results, and optimize until the numbers work. Diagnose and resolve technical issues in the field — mechanical, electrical, and process. Train customer operators and maintenance teams so the solution holds up after you leave. Perform preventive maintenance and technical audits. Document everything: reports, trial results, recommendations, and follow-up actions. Work closely with our commercial team and with engineering colleagues in Europe and Asia to bring solutions to your customers. Requirements Degree in Mechatronics Engineering (or Mechanical, Electromechanical, or a closely related field). Advanced English — you'll speak with engineers in Europe and the U.S. weekly, and it's assessed in the interview.
Willing and available to travel 50% or more, including short-notice trips. Own vehicle (car allowance provided) and a valid driver's license. Comfortable working hands-on: tools, wrenches, control panels, and the occasional 3 a.M. line stop. Valid passport and Visa, or willingness to obtain one. Nice to have Experience in the baking industry or in food manufacturing. Knowledge of PLCs, pneumatics, dosing or spray systems, or industrial automation. Field service, commissioning, or technical support background. Food safety fundamentals: GMP, HACCP. Who we're looking for Someone who runs on their own steam. You'll be alone in a plant three states away — nobody is checking your calendar. Proactive to a fault. You see the problem coming and you're already on it. Restless, energetic, and genuinely curious about how things work. Cool under pressure. When a line is down and everyone is tense, you stay clear-headed. Clear communicator with people at every level, from the operator on the floor to the plant director. Wants to build a career, not just hold a job. What we offer Competitive salary. Car allowance, fuel, tolls, and full travel expenses covered. Technical training at our facilities and with our engineering teams abroad. Real international exposure and international travel. A clear growth path: this role opens the door to technical leadership, key account management, or a regional commercial position. Our best people came up through the field. A small team where your work is visible and your ideas actually land. #J-18808-Ljbffr
