**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS**
(Responsibilities which are highly specialized, require a large amount of time, have a limited number of people to perform task and/or the position exists primarily to perform the function):
- Evaluates material needs for production requirements in Connor’s North American facilities.
- Negotiates pricing, stocking terms, and contracts to minimize and reduce costs, while maximizing purchasing power for both sites.
- Analyzes material pricing, at a commodity level, to determine and mitigate material pricing changes.
- Develops material costs forecasts or standard cost lists.
- Manages PO process:
- Reviews and approves requisitions.
- Submits those needing additional approval, per company procedure.
- Issues POs for materials and services.
- Manages MRO purchasing and expedites delivery of goods to users.
- Evaluates vendor OTD and quality performance and appraises vendor manufacturing ability through on-site visits.
- Discusses quality issues with vendors and takes corrective action, visiting vendors on-site as needed.




- Maintains procurement records.
- Reviews and updates supply chain practices in accordance with existing and new environmental policies, standards, regulations, or laws to ensure ethical and legal compliance for purchasing activities throughout North America.
- Monitors forecasts and quotas to identify changes or to determine their effect on supply chain activities.
- Regularly reviews and analyzes inventory to increase turns, reduce waste, and optimize customer service.
- Participates in the coordination of engineering changes, product line extensions, or new product launches to ensure proper costing and orderly and timely transitions in material or production flow.
- Travels to vendors and other Connor locations, domestically and internationally
