Dow has an exciting opportunity for an Associate HR Partner, based in Mexico City.
About you and this role - What you would do in this role:
The HRP brings value to the organization by aligning HR priorities with Business and Function objectives. This professional must be a credible partner, skilled at communicating with various levels of the organization and developing trust relationships. Will collaborate with HR Solutions to support site regional people & culture priorities, in compliance with local legislation. Will lead union relationships including negotiation of collective agreements. Will deliver proactive guidance about managing the talent in the organization, identify and partner with leaders to solve vulnerable spots in the talent pipeline, will act as ambassador of company ID&E; strategy, and develop and discuss strategies for difficult conversations.
**Responsibilities**:
- Represents HR at the North Region Leadership Team, advising on human resources topics.- Represent HR in the Crisis Management Team.- Understands the businesses and their operational context,
and use this acumen to inform and drive HR decisions.- Provides HR support at the sites and partners with client groups to:
- Identify and address talent and organizational needs- Ensure people agenda is aligned with corporate people programs and policies (Voice, Culture, Talent Review, Succession Plan), and also aligned with local labor relations.- Facilitate leadership development and talent management initiatives.- Coach leaders on Employee Relations topics such as Employee Review Meeting (ERM), and Performance Improvement Plan (PIP).- Collect and interpret data on HR processes (e.g., attrition, attraction and hiring, Voice, compensation patterns, talent needs, and risks).- Applies and advises on relevant local laws and regulations related to employee and labor relations.- Collaborates with local unions, to maintain positive Union Relations. Leads Labor agreement negotiations.- Applies Direct Partnership philosophy in non-unionized sites- Provides feedback to HR Compliance regarding the local implementation of employee/labor relationship issues.- Offers feedback to HR Solutions regarding local policy implementation.- Utilizes HR expertise, data, guidelines, and practices, as well as personal judgment to identify, analyze, and resolve unique or unusual problems.- May lead Ethics Investigations in alignment with the Office of Ethics & Compliance. Acts as strong Ethics and Compliance ambassador.- May assist with the implementation of local ID&E; initiatives that requires HR partner support.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree.- Languages: Fluently Spanish, English- Solid client-facing skills.- Internal customer focus.- Strong collaboration.- Strong analytical skills, including the understanding of metrics to support plans and monitor performance.- Strong communication skills that enable communicating at all levels of the organization
