Bachelor’s Degree in Plastics Processing or Mechanical Engineering
3 to 5 years or more experience in injection molding processing required
- Six Sigma Green or Black Belt
- Superior injection molding processing skills
- Thorough understanding of scientific molding concepts (e.g., RJG Master Molder)
- Mechanical Aptitude for problem solving
- Experience with various injection molding technologies (e.g., mold behind, two shot, gas assist, insert molding, robot programming, etc.)
- Experience with injection molding and vacuum forming processes
1. Responsible for injection molding, vacuum forming related continuous improvement (e.g., cycle times, scrap, quality, material cost reduction, regrind implementation, etc.)
2. Develops plans for process improvement and will have specific areas of accountability in its execution
3. Provides support on new product launch tooling,



providing the manufacturing input for development of new process and improvements to existing processes and tooling
4. Takes hands-off of tools/processes from launch team and ensures smooth execution in operations
5. Direct process technicians in the plant, assign responsibilities and ensure compliance to expectations of performance by process technicians
6. Hire, discipline, and develop process technicians
7. Directly supervises the duties of the Process Technician
8. Enforce safety rules daily
9. Actively intervene to correct unrecognized unsafe actions and conditions
10. Conducts daily observations of PPE use and safe work practices adherence and coach employees as needed
11. Ensure that all accidents, including first aid, are reported
12. Any and all other duties as assigned by manager
