We are seeking a skilled **Database Administrator** with expertise in Cassandra and Redis to join our team.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plan and estimate DB cluster data sizing and identify hardware requirements based on estimated data size and transaction volume
- Install, create, and configure DB clusters
- Monitor cluster availability and performance using specialized tools
- Perform data export into various formats
- Utilize primary and secondary indexes for efficient data querying
- Implement data backup and restoration strategies to enhance system security
- Tune the performance of JVM, caches, and compaction
- Conduct stress tests on clusters and analyze performance outcomes
**REQUIREMENTS**:
- 2+ years of experience in architecting and creating Cassandra/NoSQL database systems
- Background in Cassandra Data Modeling, NoSQL Architecture, Keyspace, Table, Index creation, User creation, and access administration
- In-depth understanding of Cassandra's internal mechanisms such as gossip protocol, hinted handoffs, read repairs, and Merkle trees
- Competency in Cassandra cluster administration, maintenance, and support using Opscenter, Devcenter, Linux, and Spark
- Skills in CQL Queries and integration with Cassandra clusters
- Familiarity with configuration of basic CI/CD pipelines
- Knowledge of creating, installing, and configuring Redis clusters, managing Redis processes
- Hands-on experience with Redis Data model, commands, data management practices including replication and snapshots
- Understanding of Redis performance optimization regarding memory and CPU consumption
- Experience with backup and restoration processes in Redis




- Proficiency in AWS cloud services including Elastic Compute, S3, and IAM
NICE TO HAVE
- Experience with DSE, AWS services, and Cassandra database hosted on AWS cloud
- Good knowledge of Linux and Java configuration
- Competency in integrating with Solar and Spark
- Familiarity with automation and CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Gitlab CI, and Team City
- Understanding of infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation, along with Python skills
