**Description of Role**
**Contract Type**: Contractor
**Work Schedule**: Adaptable schedule (8 hours per day)
**Compensation**: $5,000 USD per month
We are looking for a remote **DevOps Engineer** to join our team. This role will serve as additional support to the current DevOps Architect, ideally taking over the role once integrated into the team. This is a full-time position with flexible hours. Compensation is based on experience.
**Responsibilities**
- Maintain AWS infrastructure
- Keep Terraform configurations up to date
- Monitor SecurityHub and GuardDuty alerts and respond appropriately
- Identify cost-saving opportunities
- Provide reporting to improve visibility into infrastructure performance and costs
- Investigate/debug site outages or performance issues
- Implement new functionality based on internal specs
**Requirements**:
- Minimum 4 years of professional experience with AWS, with solid knowledge of VPC, ECS, RDS, ALB, and CloudFormation
- Experience with Terraform
- Self-motivated and comfortable working remotely
- Able to context switch between multiple projects/environments
- Comfortable performing routine operational tasks
- Strong documentation skills with the ability to clearly capture solutions and architectures




- Holds one or more AWS certifications
- Has working knowledge of Python/Django and Go
- Comfortable with Linux environments
- Familiarity with AWS Lambda, Step Functions, DynamoDB, and EventBridge
- Experience with Kubernetes and Helm
- Proficient in using CI tools like GitHub Actions or CircleCI
- Previous experience in freelance or agency settings managing multiple projects
**Location/Language Requirements**
- Must be based in LATAM
- Fluent in English, both written and verbal
