Position Overview

The Purchase Engineer will be responsible for sourcing, developing, negotiating with, and managing suppliers in Mexico and the United States, particularly for raw materials, surface treatment processes, busbars, and mechanical manufacturing services.

The position will work closely with the Plant Manager to ensure competitive pricing, supplier quality, and reliable sourcing.

Key Responsibilities

- Identify and develop suppliers for copper flat bars, copper sheets, and copper strips in Mexico and the United States.
- Source suppliers for tin, nickel, and silver plating processes in Mexico and the United States.
- Identify and develop busbar suppliers in Mexico and the United States.
- Source mechanical manufacturing suppliers with capabilities including:
- Bending
- Riveting
- Drilling
- CNC machining
- Spot welding

- Conduct price negotiations with suppliers and obtain competitive commercial conditions.
- Manage suppliers regarding pricing, quality issues, and supplier performance.
- Support supplier development and follow up on sourcing activities.




- Perform additional purchasing and supplier-related activities as assigned by the Plant Manager.

Requirements

- Education: Bachelor's degree or higher.
- Nationality: Mexican.
- English: Advanced level.
- Experience inpurchasing, sourcing, procurement, supplier development, or supplier management.
- Experience sourcing materials or services related to metal components, copper, busbars, plating, or mechanical manufacturing is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of Mexico labor laws.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to work with suppliers in Mexico and/or the United States.
- Willingness to use a personal vehicle for business activities.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally for supplier visits, if required.

Working Conditions

Schedule:

- MondayThursday: 8:00 a.m. 6:00 p.m.
- Friday: 8:00 a.m. 4:00 p.m.

Location:Ramos Arizpe, Coahuila.

Compensation & Benefits

- Monthly salary: $25,000 MXN
- Gas allowance: $1,500 MXN/month

- Mileage reimbursement: Company vehicle-related expenses are reimbursed based on mileage when the employee uses their personal vehicle for business purposes.
