- The Demand Planner will be responsible for creating, maintaining, and execute the Sales & Operations activity based on input from the cross functional teams within IS BU.
- Responsibilities:
- Develop effective forecast models based on customer input, industry trends, and demand patterns
- Actively participate in weekly / monthly cross-functional planning meetings with Procurement, Sales and Operations to discuss trends and issues
- Actively participate in weekly / monthly cross-functional planning meetings with Marketing, Sales and Operations to discuss trends and issues
- Work closely with Supply Chain & Material Planning to communicate forecast adjustments especially changes made within product lead times
- Support management with risk assessments and mitigation activities
- Propose, analyze, and implement solutions to improve demand forecast accuracy
- Monitor and report on important changes in customer demand
- Conduct monthly forecast maintenance
- Address demand-related issues in a timely and effective manner




- Participate in the NPI process to provide and receive input for an effective change/launch.
- Evaluate and analyze monthly forecast accuracy to determine root cause and initiate long-term corrective actions
- Follow ISO 9000 procedures and instructions that pertain to the position
- Follow the Ethics & Behavior politics by AMETEK ISC division
- Experience: (Technical, functional, and/or leadership experience required )
- In a high mix, low volume manufacturing environment.
- 2 -3 years’ experience in forecasting, analyzing customer demand & inventory management
- Analyzing and interpreting large amounts of data.
- Education& Knowledge ( Degree, training, or certification required )
- College degree in Business Administration, or Industrial Engineering
- APICS/CPIM certification (preferred)
- Bilingual (Spanish - English)
- Knowledge on ORACLE (preferred)
- Knowledge on ERP/MRP systems
- Knowledge on production planning principles
- Highly skilled in Microsoft Excel & MS Office suite
