We are searching for a seasoned and accomplished **Lead Automation Tester**with a solid background in **Java**to join our Data Quality team.
In this role, you will take ownership of ensuring the quality and reliability of our software solutions through advanced and scalable test automation practices. Collaborating with a global team, you will lead key initiatives and projects that demand exceptional leadership, technical expertise, and attention to detail.
**Responsibilities**
- Lead the design, development, and maintenance of scalable and advanced test automation frameworks using Java
- Oversee the implementation and execution of automated test scripts for UI and API testing to achieve comprehensive coverage
- Guide the team through advanced manual and exploratory testing where automation efforts are not yet viable
- Develop detailed test designs and strategies aligned with complex project requirements
- Coordinate and drive collaboration across cross-functional teams from regions (US, EU, India) to ensure successful software delivery
- Provide leadership in identifying, documenting, and tracking software defects, ensuring timely resolution
- Continuously evaluate and refine testing processes, tools, and technologies for better efficiency
- Mentor team members and set standards for excellence in test automation
- Ensure consistent quality at each stage of the software development lifecycle
- Analyze test results and deliver critical insights and metrics to stakeholders
**Requirements**:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in Test Automation




- At least 1 year of relevant leadership experience
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages, such as Java/Python/TypeScript
- Expertise in managing and utilizing advanced test automation tools for UI and/or API testing, such as Playwright or Rest Assured
- Extensive background in manual testing, exploratory testing, and the creation of complex test strategies
- Advanced understanding of CI/CD pipelines with a focus on automation integration
- Excellent communication skills and proven ability to lead distributed teams across varying time zones
- Ability to communicate confidently and effectively in both written and spoken English (B2+ level or higher)
- Availability to work overlapping hours with the US team (8 am-2 pm ET)
**Nice to have**
- Expert-level proficiency in using automated testing tools like Playwright and/or Rest Assured
- Significant experience implementing GitHub Actions or Jenkins for sophisticated testing workflows
