**Job Title**:Configuration Engineer
**Job Summary**:
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Create, maintain, and update product configurations within ERP and MDM systems
- Manage and validate Bills of Materials (BOMs), including buy, make, and phantom parts
- Develop and maintain routings to support manufacturing processes
- Ensure data integrity and consistency across systems and engineering documentation
- Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and procurement teams
- Support new product introductions (NPI) by setting up accurate product structures
- Troubleshoot configuration issues and implement corrective actions
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to data governance and processes
**Required Qualifications**:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Information Systems, or a related field
- 2-4 years of experience in configuration engineering,



product data management, or similar roles
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar)
- Strong understanding of Master Data Management (MDM) principles
- Knowledge of Bills of Materials (BOMs), routings, and part classification (buy, make, phantom)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail and data accuracy
- Good communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
**Preferred Qualifications**:
- Experience in manufacturing or industrial environments
- Familiarity with PLM systems (Oracle is a plus)
- Knowledge of change management processes (ECO/ECN)
- Continuous improvement mindset (Lean, Six Sigma is a plus)
