**Role Overview**
We are seeking a detail-oriented HR Generalist & Payroll in Guadalajara to lead our local people’s operations and end-to-end payroll cycle. This role requires a high level of technical proficiency in global HRIS and payroll platforms to ensure our team is paid accurately while maintaining strict compliance with state and federal regulations.
**Essential Functions**
- Administer end‑to‑end HR and payroll operations for ASMPT Mexico using ADP and Workday, ensuring accurate processing of salaries, overtime, bonuses, statutory deductions, and employee data.
- Register new employees with IMSS, manage all affiliation movements, and prepare monthly IMSS (Social Security) reports for management review.
- Review, calculate, and coordinate employee termination and severance amounts (finiquitos and liquidations) in accordance with Mexican Federal Labor Law.
- Act as the primary Workday administrator for Mexico, maintaining employee records, processing job changes, and generating HR and payroll reports.
- Ensure statutory compliance for payroll‑related obligations, including IMSS, INFONAVIT, FONACOT, CFDI issuance, and state payroll tax (ISN).
- Review and approve INFONAVIT withholding notices and ensure accurate implementation through ADP.
- Coordinate recruitment and onboarding activities, including local sourcing and interviewing, new hire orientation, compliant employment contracts, and registrations with IMSS and benefit providers (e.g., AON). Partner with United States HR members.
- Manage employee benefits and services, including Major Medical Insurance and Life Insurance (hires and terminations), food vouchers, gasoline cards, daily meal programs, and mobile phone administration.
- Support employee relations, administer safety programs, and ensure compliance with NOM‑035 and NOM‑037 requirements.




- Prepare and deliver operational and decision‑making reports, including overtime, Paid Time Off (PTO), and payroll analytics.
- Coordinate local employee engagement initiatives, including the annual Christmas Party, supporting the Company’s culture.
- Willingness to assist with ad‑hoc tasks and cross‑functional projects in support of team and organizational priorities.
- Ensure the mandatory committees are facilitated in a timely manner.
- Facilitate and follow up with employees on work leave.
- Coaching employees regarding Company policies and procedures.
- Support employee training initiatives.
- Maintain and secure confidential employees’ files on site in accordance the Labor Laws of Mexico.
- Participate with an onsite inspection is scheduled by the appropriate Labor Authority.
**Requirements**:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in HR, Accounting, or Business Administration.
- Experience: 1-2+ years in HR with a heavy focus on Mexico Payroll.
- Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with Workday and ADP General is mandatory.
- Languages: Business-level English and Spanish (Professional proficiency required for global reporting).
- Legal: Deep understanding of the LFT (Federal Labor Law) and Mexican tax compliance.
