We're looking for a **Business Finance Manager** to help us better understand our business through financial planning, reporting, and analysis.
This is not a traditional accounting or bookkeeping position. Instead, you'll work closely with the owners to turn financial data into practical insights that support better business decisions. If you enjoy solving problems, identifying trends, and helping businesses grow, we'd love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Planning & Analysis
- Develop and maintain budgets and financial forecasts.
- Monitor company performance against budgets and identify trends.
- Analyze profitability, expenses, and operational performance.
- Prepare monthly financial reports and present clear insights to leadership.
- Identify opportunities to improve profitability, cash flow, and operational efficiency.
- Support business planning by providing financial recommendations and scenario analysis.
KPI Reporting & Business Performance
- Build and maintain KPI dashboards and scorecards.
- Track performance across departments including Sales, Project Management, Operations, Maintenance, and Administration.
- Help leadership measure progress toward company goals.
- Identify trends and recommend improvements based on business data.
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement




- Work closely with our Financial Manager and bookkeeping team to ensure accurate financial information.
- Support ownership with financial planning and strategic decision-making.
- Help improve reporting processes, dashboards, and business systems.
- Assist with special projects and business analysis as the company grows.
**Requirements**:
- Experience in finance, financial analysis, accounting, FP&A;, or a similar role.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable working with QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to organize financial information and explain it clearly.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
Nice to Have
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, or KPI reporting.
- Experience creating dashboards in Excel, Power BI, Looker Studio, or similar tools.
- Experience working with construction, landscaping, service-based, or contracting businesses.
