**What’s new with Aptar**:
- As part of the Global Tax team, we are currently looking for a **Tax Specialist** who will report both to the global team and, in a matrix structure, to the Mexico Controller.
- This position is responsible for supporting local GAAP accounting and tax requirements for Mexico legal entities, partnering closely with business segments and the Shared Services Center.
- The role will contribute to strengthening technical expertise, fostering collaboration between local and global teams, optimizing processes and standards, and providing proactive support to the business.
**Main responsibilities**:
- Prepare, review, and submit local tax and corporate tax reports.
- Support local GAAP accounting and book adjustment entries.
- Prepare or support BPC Tax reporting and related local schedules.
- Ensure compliance with US GAAP and Local GAAP, minimizing tax risks and liabilities.
- Support local tax requirements and filings, coordinating with external tax advisors when needed.
- Assist with local and corporate tax audits.
- Coordinate with country tax authorities to recover tax credit balances.
- Support annual Transfer Pricing processes.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent.
- 3 to 5 years of relevant tax experience.
- Intermediate English level (B1 or higher).
- Knowledge of US GAAP and Local GAAP.
- Experience working with SAP.
**Skills / Abilities - Must Have**:
- Strong knowledge of local and US GAAP, as well as tax regulations.
- Solid accounting expertise.
- Experience with SAP systems.
- Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to issue resolution.
- Good organizational and planning skills.
- Teamwork and collaboration capabilities.
- Ability to interact and coordinate with multiple stakeholders (GBS, local teams, sites, Controllers, Tax teams).
- Fluency in Spanish and working proficiency in English.
