- The United Nations Information Centre form Mexico, Cuba and the Dominican Republic as part of the Department of General Communication and Strategy Division internship (DGC) invites you to be part of an internship Programme during the year 2026. The internship position is in the United Nations Information Centre (UNIC) in Mexico City. The UNIC for Mexico, Cuba and the Dominican Republic is the primary information source of the United Nations System in the countries it serves. The UNICs are responsible for promoting a better understanding of the Secretary-General´s priorities and the impact of the United Nations´ work. In addition, UNICs lead the United Nations Country Team (UNCT) and Resident Coordination Office (RCO) communications and advocacy functions. The incumbent is under the direct supervision of UNIC’s Director and/or the National Information Officer (NIO). He or she reports to the NIO of UNIC Mexico. The internship is UNPAID.



The Interns must cover full-time working hours, for 6 months - 35 hours per week. With limits of delegated authority, the intern will be responsible for one or more of the following duties: -Assist in the design and support the implementation of at least one UN communication or outreach campaign led or coordinated by CINU Mexico. -Assist in contributing to the organization of at least three public information or communication activities, supporting outreach, visibility, and content preparation. -Assist in drafting and development of a minimum of three social media campaigns, including the preparation of multimedia content and posts for CINU Mexico’s social media platforms. -Assist in developing and scheduling weekly social media content, focusing on UN observances, UN priorities, and activities carried out by the UN System in Mexico. -Assist in producing regular news bulletin and media updates, highlighting key communication initiatives,
