Duties:
- Leads and collaborates across multiple FDA program areas, other federal agencies, and country/region-specific regulatory authorities to address complex scientific and/or operational objectives.
- Serves as an in-country agency focal point for international programs and interactions with foreign counterpart regulatory agencies, international organizations, foreign embassies, other host government officials, Health and Human Services, and other US Government (USG) components.
- Serves as an Agency expert and works closely with senior policy-level officials and technical specialists from other USG regulatory agencies,



such as the U.S. Department of Agriculture's (USDA), Department of State, and the United States Trade Representative (USTR) on best practices in areas of controversy or those having widespread national or international implications.
- Serves as the Office Director designee, as assigned, on agency and international committees, councils, and work groups, and on external advisory committees.
- Participates as an Office/agency representative in meetings with various organizations, institutions, and agencies, including the Pan American Health Organization, National Regulatory Authorities, non-governmental organizations, industry, and academia.
- Uses limited information to solve a variety of complex problems, with demonstrated sensitivity and timely decision-making.
