**Job Description Summary**: The Manufacturing Unit Process Engineer is responsible for develop and improve manufacturing processes and engineering activities to support new product development and/or existing product enhancement.
Implement projects to improve manufacturing capacity, cost reduction and continuous improvement.
**Functions and Responsibilities**:
- ** Identifies critical equipment setting and creation of work standards.
**:
- ** Creates technical knowledge for the manufacturing unit and transfers the knowledge to the operator and technical associates.
**:
- ** Coaches associates on continuous improvement methodologies within the manufacturing unit.
**:
- ** Understands top losses within the manufacturing unit and develops and implements plans to eliminate losses and drive OEE performance.
**:
- ** Responsible for manufacturing unit change control including validation activities, root cause analysis of prioritized OEE losses, and quality deviations.
**:
- ** Prepare work instruction / training material for process.
**:
- ** Lead and execute process validation and compile completion result; develop standards for material or process changes.
**:
- ** Lead in problem solving using continuous improvement methodologies and tools.
**:
- ** Implements and sustains BD Excellence work process for the manufacturing unit.




**:
- ** Ensures compliance with BD quality systems, policies, procedures and best practices, and all local, state, federal and BD safety regulations, policies and procedures.

- ** Perform other tasks as required.

**Requirements**:
- ** Bachelor's Engineering Degree in Industrial, Mechatronic, Electronic, Electrical, or related field.
**:
- ** 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
**:
- ** Troubleshooting / Problem Solving - Advanced.
**:
- ** PLC experience preferred.
**:
- ** Organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines and high-level goals.
**:
- ** Strong leadership skills to be able to manage time, and a problem solver.
**:
- ** Ability to influence and build good working relationships according to BD Values.
**:
- ** Effective Oral/written Communication skills.
**:
- ** Proficiency in MS Office.
**:
- ** Bilingual English and Spanish (preferred).
