The PCE will be responsible for coordinating and leading hourly production personnel within the Final Assembly line, ensuring safe shift start-up and shutdown, compliance with work standards, and the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives through methodologies such as 6-Sigma and DMAIC.
This position reports directly to the TM Production and is key to ensuring the efficiency, quality, and safety of the production process, as well as the development of talent within the team.
Responsibilities
- Manage production personnel, including scheduling of vacations, absenteeism, and overtime.
- Confirm safe start-up and shutdown of operations each shift.
- Train personnel on versatility and the use of continuous improvement tools.
- Actively participate in the launch of new processes and engineering changes.
- Apply problem-solving methodologies (6-Sigma, Global 8D, DMAIC) to address scrap, quality, and line constraints.
- Ensure compliance with standardized work and TDM bands.

- Ensuring standardization at all levels
- Managing abnormalities with base technicians
- Compliance with TDM bands
- Confirmation of process dimensions
Qualifications
Qualifications for External Candidates
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (or related field)
- Prior experience in production/manufacturing environments
- Leadership, teamwork, and conflict management skills

Highly Desirable Skills
- Prior experience with Minitab
- Knowledge of QLS, FIS, HOCR systems

Education Preference
Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related fields connected to manufacturing and production processes.
Competency or Skills to Be Gained
- Mastery of continuous improvement tools (6-Sigma, DMAIC, Global 8D)
- Advanced handling of quality systems (QLS, FIS, HOCR, GSPAS/QPS)
- Leadership and personnel management skills on the production floor
- Complex problem analysis and resolution capabilities
- In-depth knowledge of automotive assembly processes
