Senior Shipping EngineerLocation: Monterrey, Actual LeónWork model: On-siteEmployment type: Full-timeWe are seeking a Senior Shipping Engineer to lead and optimize outbound shipping activities within a high-volume manufacturing and logistics operation.
This role will be responsible for planning shipments, selecting the most efficient transportation methods, monitoring delivery performance, and driving continuous improvement across shipping processes.Key Responsibilities- Develop and manage daily and weekly outbound shipping plans based on customer requirements, material availability, and operational priorities.
- Select the most effective transportation mode, including truckload, LTL, air freight, ocean, or expedited services.
- Coordinate shipment execution with warehouse teams, carriers, customers, and internal stakeholders.
- Monitor inbound and outbound shipments and proactively address delays, exceptions, and urgent requests.
- Create loads and manage outbound shipment transactions in SAP.
- Track shipment status and maintain accurate information across internal systems.
- Analyze shipping performance using SAP, Power BI, Excel, and other reporting tools.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly shipping reports and performance metrics.
- Identify opportunities to improve delivery performance, transportation utilization, and freight cost.




- Support root cause analysis, corrective actions, and process improvement initiatives.
- Communicate proactively with customers, carriers, and internal teams regarding shipment status and delivery commitments.
- Support standardization, documentation, and special logistics projects as assigned.Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, Transportation, Business, or a related field.
- 5–7 years of experience in shipping, transportation, warehousing, logistics, or manufacturing operations.
- Hands-on experience with SAP shipping or logistics transactions.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience using Power BI for reporting and analysis.
- Experience with transportation management systems, ERP platforms, or shipment planning tools.
- Knowledge of truckload, LTL, air freight, ocean, and expedited transportation.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and respond effectively to time-sensitive situations.
- Strong communication and customer-service skills.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with process improvement, cost reduction, and root cause analysis is preferred.
