Job DescriptionDefine annual objectives and milestones to ensure successful execution of the hotel program strategyLead the end-to-end annual RFP process, including defining requirements, developing bid packages, and facilitating bidder conferencesEvaluate and negotiate supplier proposals to secure competitive pricing and favorable contractual termsLead supplier selection activities and provide final recommendations based on strategic, financial, and operational criteriaNegotiate and execute supplier contracts to achieve optimal commercial outcomesDevelop and implement strategies for chainwide hotel agreementsDrive top-quartile compliance with the preferred hotel programBuild and maintain relationships with general stakeholders to leverage local market insights and improve program performanceCollaborate with hotel partners on strategic initiatives and long-term program developmentConduct quarterly business reviews with key suppliers, analyzing performance metrics such as spend, volume, rate quality, availability, and market shareDevelop strategies for loyalty program enhancements, including status upgrades with preferred partnersManage corporate reward programs to maximize utilization and prevent benefit expirationOversee long-term accommodation requests to ensure alignment with program standards and cost efficiencyManage third-party provider relationships (e.G., rate assurance), including performance tracking and savings realizationLeverage reporting and analytics to expand discount availability and inform sourcing strategiesMonitor and resolve escalated hotel service issues, including quality, payment, and safety concernsDevelop and execute Online Booking Tool (OBT)
strategies to optimize hotel display and promote preferred suppliersCommunicate program goals, updates, and strategies to internal stakeholders, travel agencies, and external partnersEngage travelers and arrangers through communication channels such as intranet content, training sessions, and supplier eventsRepresent HPE within the hotel and travel industry; attend conferences as appropriateTrack and report savings performance, including maintaining savings tools and providing regular updatesSupport supplier partnership initiatives, including Mutual Value Partnership (MVP) engagementsExpand knowledge across broader travel categories to serve as a cross-functional subject matter expertSupport additional team initiatives and projects as neededAbout YouBachelor's degree6-8 years of relevant experience in the hotel or travel industryFluent in EnglishStrong global/geographical knowledgeAbility to comply with in-office work guidelinesKnowledge and SkillsStrong knowledge of the travel industry, particularly hotel sourcing and corporate travel programsProven relationship-building and stakeholder management skillsEffective negotiation and contract management capabilitiesStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to develop forecasts, plans,
