This position will be responsible for managing inventory and cost accounting for manufacturing processes.
The role requires strong accounting and analytical skills, in-depth knowledge of Cost Accounting, understanding of manufacturing operations, and the ability to collaborate with integral teams in a fast-paced environment.
The position will work closely with manufacturing teams to provide key metrics that support operational decision-making.
**Responsibilities**
- Execute and monitor monthly close activities, including preparation and approval of journal entries and inventory-related reconciliations.
- Oversee inventory transactions, including physical-to-perpetual-to-general ledger reconciliations, standard costs, and audit support.
- Analyze inventory adjustments and manufacturing variances, coordinating root cause analysis and corrective actions with operational teams.
- Lead the preparation and execution of annual and quarterly standard cost rolls.
- Establish and review standard costs for new and existing parts, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of cost data.
- Audit cycle count activities, investigate discrepancies, and report root causes to improve inventory accuracy.
- Provide cost accounting support to cross-functional areas and support the monthly financial close.
- Develop and review cost analysis reports and collaborate with operations on improvement actions.
- Coordinate and respond to internal and external audit requirements, including SOX-related matters, including monthly Control Self Evaluations.
- Analyze operating costs, purchase price variance, and support cost-related special projects focused on efficiency and utilization.
- Ensure integrity and accuracy of cost and general ledger information within the ERP system.
- Supervise personnel and perform other duties as assigned.
- Prepare and presentation of Daily KPI ́s
- Part of the Leadership for Annual Inventory
- Lead the Fixed Assets Inventory (every three years)
- Monthly Account Reconciliations
**Requirements**:
- *****% English proficiency.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3-4 years of progressive experience in mid
- to large-size companies, preferably publicly traded.
- Up-to-date knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
- Strong understanding of Cost Accounting, including standard costs and variance analysis.
- Experience collaborating with global finance teams and supporting manufacturing operations.
- Ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously, with strong organizational skills and business acumen.
- Experience with fully integrated ERP systems; SAP preferred
