We are looking for an experienced
Epic Cogito Database Administrator
to drive the performance, security, and integrity of our critical healthcare data systems. In this hands-on role, you will be the backbone of our analytics environment—overseeing SQL Server databases, managing Clarity and Caboodle, and optimizing ETL data pipelines.
*(Note: We are specifically prioritizing candidates with hands-on*
*Epic Cogito/Clarity administration experience*
*and certifications, rather than general SQL Server DBAs).*

What You Will Do
- Platform Administration:
Administer and maintain Epic SQL Server databases, specifically focusing on
Clarity and Caboodle
environments.
- Performance & Health:
Monitor database health, storage, and system capacity to ensure 24/7 high availability and peak performance through expert indexing and query tuning.
- ETL Management:
Execute, monitor, and troubleshoot ETL processes and
SSIS packages
to ensure successful data loads and SLA compliance.
- Disaster Recovery:
Manage critical backup, restore, disaster recovery, and failover activities.
- Security & Compliance:
Maintain robust database security, user authentication, and patching in strict compliance with healthcare standards.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Partner closely with application analysts, infrastructure teams, and report developers to troubleshoot production issues and support enterprise reporting.
- Operations:
Create operational runbooks, maintain documentation, and participate in an on-call rotation for production environments.
