Position Overview**:
Responsibilities for Senior Data Engineer
Required Qualifications
Desired Qualifications- Build the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from various data sources (structured and unstructured) using the Azure stack.
- Design and implement data solutions on Azure modern data platform (CosmosDB, SQL, SQL Data Warehouse, Data Lake Storage, Synapse ADF, Databricks, and Blob storage ).
- Build data warehouses and semantic models in data marts using Azure Data Services (Synapse, Spark, Analysis Services, ADF, Power BI, etc.).
- Work with stakeholders, including the management, product, and data scientists, to assist with data-related technical issues.
- Ensure that models exhibit desired levels of performance, security, scalability, maintainability, appropriate reusability, and reliability upon deployment.
- Ensure conceptual and architectural integrity of the platform.
- Collaboration with ETL process owners to understand, design, and implement data movements and integrations across a complex landscape of systems.
- Collaborates with analytics and business teams to improve data models that feed business intelligence tools, increase data accessibility, and foster data-driven decision-making across the organization.
- Automate and optimize existing analytic workloads by recognizing data and technology usage patterns.
- Excellent communication/collaborationskills for troubleshooting purposes and day-to-day partnership with business stakeholders.

- Experience supporting and working with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.
- University Degree (Bachelor) or equivalent experience with at least five years of prior relevant experience.
- 3+ years' experience with database systems, Azure cloud storage, and significant exposure to or experience with modern big data processing tools (such as Spark, Hadoop, and Databricks).




- 3+ years of experience building data engineering solutions and maintaining a data warehouse, data lake, or other data repositories.
- 3+ years of designing andtransforming large data using Azure Data Services, Scala, Apache Spark, Data Factory, and Python in the cloud**.**:
- 3+ years of experience designing data models (STAR, Vault, Tabular) for analytics.
- Proven experience with SQL and Pl/SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases, query authoring (SQL), and working familiarity with a variety of databases.
- Experience developing batch processing solutions using Synapse, ADF, Data Factory, Data Lake, and Spark.
- Experience integrating notebooks (PySpark, Scala) into data pipeline.
- Polyglot development: Capable of developing in Scala and Python with good understanding of functional programming, SOLID principles, concurrency models and modularization.
- Experience with DevOps and CI/CD pipelines for deploying services using Github Actions.
- Experience with Big Data migrations/transformationsprograms in the Data Warehousing / Business Intelligence areas.
- Azure Certifications: DP-200: Implementing an Azure Data Solution DP-201: Designing an Azure Data Solution AZ-400: Designing and Implementing Microsoft DevOps Solutions or others related to the position.
- Working knowledge of message queuing, stream processing, and highly scalable ‘big data’ data stores.
