**Academic qualification**
- **Essential**: Degree/Diploma in Mechanical and or Piping Designs Engineering. Technical or vocational training in mechanical piping or a related field is preferred.
- **Certifications**: Relevant certifications in mechanical piping (e.g., Pipefitter Journeyman) may be advantageous.
**Position**: Supervisor Piping
**Experience**
- Relevant: 5-10 years of experience in mechanical piping installation, maintenance, and repair, with a proven track record of supervisory roles.
**Technical Skills**:
- Must be familiar with Isometric drawings.
- Must understand P&IDs; and piping layouts. Good knowledge of piping layout, welding requirements, welding standards, stress reliefs, air vents in piping lengths
- Deep knowledge of mechanical piping systems, codes, regulations, and safety standards.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Proficiency in reading mechanical piping blueprints and technical diagrams.
- Good problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Familiarity with piping tools, equipment, and technologies.
- Familiarity with welding procedures standards
- Familiar with ISOMETRIC views and interpretations.
**Responsabilities**:
- Attend Tool Box Meetings to plan and conclude days’ work.




- Oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical piping systems. This role involves supervising a team of vendor’s pipefitters, coordinating work schedules, and ensuring the quality, correct routing, welding, testing and safety of piping installations, piping supports, provision of air vents and relief valves.
- All snags that may arise after the job completions have to be corrected and readied for IQ/OQ /Handover.
- Ensure RAMS prepared are scrutinised for corrections and approved by customer.
- Installation, commissioning of Plant and machineries and systems.
- Installation and commissioning of all piping and valves systems, air compressor systems,
- Assist the Project Manager in completing IQ & OQ/Takeover on time.
- To assist Safety Officer in preparing RAMS till they are approved.
- Supervise vendors who undertake installation jobs at site.
- Ensure all SNAGS raised during IQ /OQ/Handover must be identified, tagged, and rectified satisfactorily by the vendor.
- Participate actively in meetings when needed.
- Supervision and Leadership:
- Lead and supervise a team of pipefitters, welders, and technicians.
- Assign tasks, provide guidance, and ensure that work is completed efficiently and in accordance with project specifications.




- Collaborate with Project Manager to plan and schedule mechanical piping projects.
- Ensure that materials and resources are available, mustered and inventory maintained to meet project deadlines.
- Oversee the installation, of mechanical piping systems, including pipes, valves, pumps, and related components.
- Ensure that piping systems comply with engineering designs, codes, and safety regulations.
- Conduct inspections to verify the quality and correctness of piping installations.
- Identify and resolve any issues or deviations from project plans.
- All welding on the piping s must be done, tested proven to international and customer standards.
- Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols and procedures. All piping teams of vendors must have their safety officers.
- Promote a culture of safety among team members and subcontractors.
- Maintain accurate records of project progress, including work completed, materials used, and any change orders.
- Prepare daily or weekly reports for project managers and stakeholders.
- Troubleshoot piping issues and provide technical solutions to overcome challenges during installation or maintenance.
- Coordinate with engineering, electrical teams to address technical concerns.
- Project all difficulties encountered to the Project Manager for solutions.
