**Reception SEND Teaching Assistant**
**Location**: Hall Green, Birmingham
**Start Date**: Monday 3rd November
**Contract Type**: Full-Time, Monday - Friday 8:30am-3:30pm Term-Time Only
Monarch Education are recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and inclusive school committed to providing a nurturing environment where every child can thrive. We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate **Reception SEND Teaching Assistant** to join their team and support pupils with special educational needs in their Reception classroom.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Provide tailored support to pupils with SEND, helping them access the curriculum and reach their full potential.
- Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement individual education plans (IEPs).
- Foster a positive, safe, and stimulating learning environment.
- Support pupils with a range of needs including communication and interaction,
cognition and learning, social, emotional and mental health, and sensory or physical needs.
- Assist with personal care and mobility needs where required.
- Monitor and record pupil progress, contributing to reviews and assessments.
**What We're Looking For**:
- Experience working with children in an educational setting, ideally within Early Years or SEND.
- A patient, empathetic, and enthusiastic approach to supporting young learners.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Relevant qualifications - Level 3 Teaching Assistant or equivalent
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
