**Job Summary**:
Responsible for understanding and interpretting requirements of a project within construction documents and specificiations to design a controls system tailored to the specific project needs including effectively communicating with sales agents/customers at all stages of design.
Uses visual software suiteto help generate the requested deliverable set through the RFA process based on their interpretation and input. Suggest changes to deliverables to customer and amend original requirements.
Delivers bill of material, layout and/or submittal.
**Key Tasks & Responsibilities (Essential Functions)**:
- Designs lighting systems based on construction documents,



specifications and/or sales agent/customer needs including provided suggested changes and amendments to original design.
- Utilizes construction software to review and mark up construction documents including fixture schedules, details, and single line diagrams.
- Collaborates and assists on special projects with internal Acuity teams outside of own team.
- Keeps up to date on Acuity products portfolio as well as competitor products
**Skills and Minimum Experience Required**:
- Excellent critical thinking skills, independent thought, interpretation, and problem-solving to understand and implement the lighting requirements of a project.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Actively contributes to a culture of problem solving and continous improvement
- Ability to work in a hybrid role.
- Fluent in English
- Experience in similar role
- Bachelor´s Degree or equivalent
- Experience with AutoCAD, AGI, Revit, or similar CAD software
- Familiarity with lighting
- Comprehensive understanding of Engineering documentation
