Responsible for overseeing daily accounting operations, ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting standards, and leading the accounting team to maintain accurate financial records and timely reporting.
This role supports financial decision-making through analysis, reporting, and process improvements.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Supervise and coordinate daily accounting activities, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Fixed Assets.
- Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial transactions.
- Ensure accurate and timely month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements and management reports.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, IFRS, SOX, and company policies as applicable.
- Coordinate internal and external audits and respond to audit requests.
- Monitor accounting controls and identify opportunities for process improvements.
- Assist with tax reporting and regulatory compliance requirements.

and develop accounting staff.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business objectives.
**Minimum Requirements**:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
- 2+ years of supervisory or team leadership experience.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, JDE, or similar).
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
**Preferred Qualifications**:
- CPA, CMA, or equivalent certification.
- Experience in manufacturing or maquiladora environment.
- Knowledge of cost accounting and inventory accounting.
- Experience with SOX compliance and internal controls.
- Familiarity with U.S. and Mexican accounting regulations.
