TE Connectivity's Supply Chain Managers are responsible for the timely, cost-effective procurement, inventory control, planning and quality control of production materials. They ensure the availability of materials in the supply chain, as scheduled, and the maintenance of inventory at the established levels. They coordinate and integrate the flow of materials and information among suppliers, manufacturers, distributors and customers, identifying opportunities for improving efficiency, effectiveness and capabilities of the supply chain. Resources are focused on continuous improvement of the movement of materials through production processes, and the establishment of key performance metrics and benchmarks to monitor vigente performance against goals.
**What your background should look like**:
Key Tasks:
- Make sure MRP recommendations are executed by the vendor planning team and the production planning team to guarantee on time supply of material to satisfy customer demand
- Follow execution of supplier deliveries and implement corrective actions with support of the purchasing team when deviations occur
- Follow execution of production work center and implement corrective actions with plant manager when deviation occurs
- Lead the redeployment and development (assessment, attraction, training, retention) of the Supply chain team
- Manage daily operations of the logistics teams in a safe and compliant manner
- In charge of S&OP; process for the site (demand & capacity review including forecast to external vendors and recommendation to the site leadership team for long term capacity planning)
- In charge of the monthly billing and inventory forecast.
Implement corrective actions in case of deviation and report out to the regional team
- Daily management of the material management team and the import / export team
- Drive continuous improvement actions i.e. assembly to order set-up, Kanban implementation and Lead time reduction
- Train & provide support to his / her team members
- Audit and standardize processes within his / her team to drive Supply Chain Excellence
- In charge of ship to request and ship to schedule (STR / STS) performance, follow performance and implement corrective actions with cross functional teams
- Supporting SAP implementation team during SAP go-live project in the plant
Key Performance Measurements:
- STS / STR (ship to request/ship to schedule - delivery performance)
- ACCLT (leadtime)
- Inventory turns & PFO (slow moving inventory)
- Freight and warehousing costs
- Inventory accuracy
Key Qualifications, Experiences and Knowledge:
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business or Engineering and minimum 5 years of experience in Supply Chain management
- On hand experience of lean manufacturing and Material replenishment and flow
- Skilled in data management, Excel, ERP/MRP system
- Strong Project Management & Communication Skills
- Ability to influence others at all levels of the organization through collaboration
- Exhibits, drives and communicates a clear understanding of desired results
- Has clear vision and demonstrates the ability to learn, develop and deploy new ideas
- Can motivate/influence others to change
- SAP knowledge is a plus
