**Your role**
- Manage, coordinate, and implement all elements of the Symrise Process Safety Management (PSM) program in addition to any requirements specific to the location.
- Schedule, lead and document the PHA/HAZOP evaluations for new and existing processes.
- Perform Layer of Protection Analysis (LOPA) to determine if the risk of an incident scenario is low enough to meet company requirements.
- Coordinate and schedule internal and external compliance review audits with governmental agencies or third-party personnel and maintain proactive and positive relations with regulatory agencies, trade organizations, and community stakeholders as applicable.
- Develop, implement, and provide process safety training and monitor compliance with training requirements.
- Perform technical reviews of proposed new projects and process changes to identify and communicate any PSM ramifications.




- Report on status of process safety incidents to management, lead investigations related to these incidents, and coordinate development of corrective actions based upon investigations.
- Provide oversight of the Management of Change (MOC) and Pre-Start-up Safety Review (PSSR) process.
- Perform routine monitoring of documentation to ensure compliance with Symrise process safety requirements, including written procedures, Process safety information (PSI), and closure of PHA/HAZOP and audit action items.
- Other duties as assigned.
**About you**
- Experience: 2+ years in process safety in a chemical environment.
- Engineer degree in Mechanical, Chemist or similar
- English C1
- Ability to build business partnerships across and between functional groups and lead a project or technical team.
- High energy and passion for excellence, bias for action, adaptability, and resilience.
- Requires strong organizational, analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work independently, multi-task, follow through, and meet deadlines.
- Some international travel will be required between integral Symrise locations.
