Job Summary
- To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add an _Mechanical Engineer_ _located in _Guadalajara, North_._
- Reporting to the Chief Engineer, Mechanical Solutions, Mechanical Engineer role involves being_ _responsible for designing, validating, and implementing innovative and cost effective product solutions of complex scope in order to support the organization in prototype development through full-scale production._
What a typical day looks like:
- _ Engage with customer’s engineering team early in the development process to gain design intent understanding._
- _ Works with a design teams to create and review design sketches, layouts, and plans related to products primarily designed with sheet metal parts._
- _ Perform design and manufacturing optimization of new products provided by our customer’s, which include and not limited to:_
- _ Design for Manufacturing_
- _ Design for Assembly_
- _ Design for Cost_
- _ Design for Automation_
- _ Design for X_
- _ Analyze product specifications and select raw materials and components for production._
- _ Construct models and prototypes, testing and validating designs._
- _ Collaborate with manufacturing sites to ensure products meet design and customer expectations._
- _ Study test data, compare with similar designs, and make informed assessments._
- _ Develop and implement control systems for production monitoring._
- _ Perform Root Cause Analysis, address defects, and execute DFMEA_
The experience we’re looking to add to our team:
- _ BA/BS or equivalent work experience_
- _ Proficient on electrical mechanical experience_
- _ Effective at communicating with customers, peers and support staff._
- _ English speaking._
- _ Excellent at problem solving and decision making._
- _ Provide expertise for a variety of projects from design and prototyping to production manufacturing._
- _ Conduct research that tests and analyzes the feasibility, design, operation, and performance of product, components and systems_
- _ Recommend technical capabilities required for the completion of projects_
- _ Sheet metal design and manufacturing in low and high volume (soft and hard tooling)._
