Job Summary
- To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a _Commodity Manager Indirect _located in _Guadalajara, North_._
- Reporting to the Director, Commodity Management Indirect, Commodity Manager Indirect role. will be responsible for providing commodity support and strategy around EDM commodity to the Indirect procurement supply chain Organization, to ensure continuity of supply, supplier development, readiness, and improvement activities, in order to optimize cost, deliveries, service, and quality requirements for our operations and customers._
What a typical day looks like:
- _ Establish and manage long-term strategic and core supplier relationships and will engage with Flex sites and business segments._
- _ Guide the selection, development and management of Core and Strategic Suppliers to meet commodity costs and performance goals._
- _ Investigate, negotiate and implement cost reduction opportunities within the commodity spend to support the business_
- _ Implement programs for supplier selection, supplier performance management, and supply base optimization._

- _ Provide Quotation centers with support from core and strategic suppliers in order to obtain competitive and timely quotes._
- _ Monitor current commodity market conditions, technology roadmaps and identify supply/demand challenges. Develop, implement and communicate tactical and strategic commodity plans internally and to Flex customers as appropriate._
- _ Collaborate with Customer Supply Chain Managers and Product Introduction centers to coordinate sourcing strategies and ensure a smooth and timely manufacturing ramp on new programs._
- _ Provide a point of escalation for Commodity issues as appropriate._
- _ Gain access through supplier relationships to leading technology, product roadmaps, technology strategies, and industry trends._
- _ Work with the Integral Commodity management and strategic supply chain management teams on sourcing strategies including supplier selection, risk analysis, and capacity management_
- _ Develop Sustainable Materials Margin opportunities_
- _ Ensure the lowest landed component costs are negotiated, captured, and implemented across segment businesses._
The experience we’re looking to add to our team:
- _ BA/BS or equivalent work experience_
- _ Business English._
- _ Typically requires of materials and/or manufacturing experience._
- _ Experience working with Suppliers._
- _ Experience in supplier selection._
