Job Summary
To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Commodity Analyst Indirect - Automation located in Guadalajara, North Campus.
Reporting to the Global Commodity Management Director, in this role you will be responsible for supporting the development, implementation, and management of regional strategies and sourcing activities to provide Flex segments and business groups with optimal supply assurance, pricing, flexibility, quality, and delivery performance. Working closely with the General Automation team / Local Management, the Commodity Analyst Indirect - Automation will communicate and implement strategies, contracts, and pricing to the Americas region with an overall focus on maintaining good supplier relationships and costs to a minimum to achieve maximum advantage for the company and its customers.
What a typical day looks like:
- _ Responsible for the execution of procurement sourcing strategies._
- _ High level participation in daily procurement activities and effective problem solving on daily issues_
- _ Support deployment programs for supplier selection, supplier performance management and supply base optimization._
- _ Drive cost _reduction/improvement_ negotiations considering a Total Cost of Ownership approach._
- _ Ensure contracted commercial terms with approved suppliers are valid and up to date._
- _ Sustain long term strategic relationships with core suppliers,
drive engagement with Flex sites and business units to meet Automation Integrations and Components costs and performance goals and to ensure smooth operations._
- _ Monitor current commodity market conditions, technology roadmaps and identify supply/demand challenges._
- _ Provide point of escalation for Commodity issues as appropriate._
- _ Participate in the review of supplier contracts, outlining requirements and considerations._
- _ Maintain policies, procedures, and material control systems to optimize supply chain operations, adhering to our compliance standards._
- _ Recognize products and the manufacturing process, technologies and techniques._
- _ Be able to track and document SOW changes to Supplier and Stakeholders on a fast-paced environment_
The experience we're looking to add to our team:
- _ BA/BS or equivalent work _experience:_ 5-7 years experience required_
- _ Engineering with Commercial background experience required._
- _ Strong Knowledge in _manufacturing/Processes_ preferrable for the _electronics/plastics/metals_ industry_
- _ Manufacturing and Customer-facing experience_
- _ Contract Negotiation experience_
- _ Advanced English_

- _ Problem Solving and Detail-oriented_
- _ Ability to interface and communicate with different levels of the organization_
- _ Teamwork_
- _ Office (Advanced Excel & PPT)_
- _ Automation/Process engineering background is a plus!_
