location: remote (mexico-based preferred)

about the opportunity:

we are partnering with a leading advisory firm specializing in regulatory strategy, public affairs, and compliance within the digital assets, fintech, and financial services sectors. The team works closely with innovative companies navigating complex regulatory environments across latin america.

key responsibilities

monitor and analyze regulatory, political, and market developments across latin america, providing strategic insights and risk assessments to clients. Represent clients in regulatory discussions, consultations, licensing processes, and policy engagements across multiple jurisdictions. Advise clients on regulatory compliance, market entry strategies, licensing requirements, and evolving digital asset and financial services frameworks. Produce high-quality regulatory briefings, policy updates, and intelligence reports to support informed business decision-making. Represent the firm and its clients at industry conferences, government meetings, and key stakeholder events across the region. Deliver strategic guidance and training to executive teams, boards, and compliance functions on regulatory obligations and industry best practices.

requirements

3–5+ years of experience in public affairs, government relations, regulatory affairs, compliance, public policy, or related fields. Previous exposure to fintech, digital assets, financial services, payments, or other regulated industries is highly desirable.



Strong understanding of regulatory and political environments across latin america. Familiarity with financial services regulation, fintech frameworks, digital assets, blockchain technology, or emerging technologies. Experience representing the interests of financial institutions, fintech companies, digital asset businesses, trade associations, or consulting firms. Familiarity with regulatory licensing processes, public policy development, and multi-jurisdictional regulatory frameworks. Previous consulting, legal, regulatory, public affairs, or international business experience.

skills

excellent communication, stakeholder management, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities. Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate regulatory risks. Fluency in spanish and english is required; portuguese is considered an advantage.
