position summary:
~ jinko ess is seeking a dynamic and technically skilled ess product manager to lead the development, positioning, and lifecycle management of our energy storage system solutions across the latin american market. This role bridges the technical and commercial sides of the business, ensuring our bess offerings are competitive, compliant, and aligned with regional market demands. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the latin american energy landscape and energy storage technologies, with the ability to coordinate across general teams.

key responsibilities:
define and execute the product roadmap for residential, c& i, and utility-scale ess tailored to latin american regulations and customer needs.
collaborate with r& d and hq teams in china to localize and optimize product offerings for latin america standards.
conduct competitive benchmarking, market intelligence, and cost analysis to inform product strategy.
serve as the technical product lead in customer engagements, tenders, and pilot projects across latin america.
support regional sales and marketing teams with product training, documentation, and technical guidance.
ensure ess solutions meet all safety, performance, and compliance standards across latin american member states.
monitor field performance and drive product improvements based

education:




~ bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, renewable energy, power electronics, or similar.

experience:
~2–5 years in product management or applications engineering in the ess, solar, or energy technology sector.
~ proven experience with battery energy storage systems (bess) in latin american markets.
~ knowledge of grid-interactive systems, vpps, and energy trading platforms is highly valued.

technical expertise:
deep understanding of battery chemistries (e.g., lfp, nmc), inverters, bms, and ems.
familiarity with latam regulations, certifications, and safety standards.
hands-on experience with storage use cases: self-consumption, peak shaving, frequency regulation, backup, etc.

soft skills:
strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills.
cross-cultural communication and ability to work across time zones.
fluent in english and spanish.

tools & software:
experience with crm (e.g., salesforce), erp/plm systems, and ms office.
knowledge of basic simulation or modeling tools (homer, pvsyst, matlab) is a plus.

additional:
strong customer-oriented mindset and understanding of the latin american b2 b/b2 c energy market.
willingness to travel within europe and occasionally to hq in china (~20–30%).
