Speyside is seeking a public policy and government affairs consultant to lead and support client engagements in government relations, public policy, and stakeholder relations, with a strong focus on business development. The adecuado candidate will combine strong consulting expertise with proven business development capabilities, managing senior-level stakeholder relationships and delivering strategic counsel to clients across diverse industries in mexico and latin america. This role reports to the regional latam director. Key responsibilities drive business development as a core, ongoing priority — including identifying new opportunities, leading pitches, developing proposals, and proactively expanding the client portfolio across mexico and latin america. Lead the design and execution of public affairs strategies, ensuring alignment with regulatory trends and political developments. Build and maintain relationships with government officials, industry associations, and key opinion leaders. Deliver high-quality insights, briefings, and policy recommendations.



Coordinate cross-border projects and contribute to regional thought leadership initiatives. Ensure best-in-class client service and project delivery. Report regularly to the regional latam director on business development pipeline, client growth, and strategic priorities. Qualifications minimum 5 years of experience in public affairs, consulting, government, or regulated industries. Strong track record in business development, client acquisition, and revenue growth within a consulting or professional services environment. Proven understanding of mexico's political, economic, and regulatory landscape. Excellent communication skills in both spanish and english (english proficiency is a must). Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain high-value stakeholder networks. Ideally, experience in consultancy and the public sector. Experience in one or more of the following sectors is a plus: healthcare, food and beverage, mining and energy, or gaming. Reports to: regional latam director hybrid work: 3 days at the office.
