ISP Biology Teacher Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality biology lessons aligned with curriculum requirements.
- Teach key concepts in biology, including cell biology, genetics, evolution, ecology, physiology, and microbiology.
- Design and supervise laboratory experiments, ensuring student safety and proper use of materials and equipment.
- Assess, record, and report student progress, providing constructive feedback and academic support.
- Differentiate instruction to address the diverse learning needs and abilities of students.
- Integrate technology and digital tools to enhance teaching and learning.
- Prepare students for internal assessments, standardized tests, and academic competitions.
- Encourage scientific inquiry, problem-solving, and critical analysis in the classroom.




- Collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary projects and curriculum development.
- Maintain effective communication with parents and guardians regarding student performance.
- Participate in professional development, staff meetings, and school events.
- Ensure compliance with safeguarding policies, health, and laboratory safety standards.

- Strong knowledge of biological sciences and laboratory practices.

- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Science Education, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Teaching certification or equivalent professional qualification.
- Additional training in laboratory safety or advanced biological sciences is desirable.
Experience
- Previous teaching experience in biology at the high school level required.
- Experience in conducting laboratory experiments and managing lab resources.
- Background in curriculum development and interdisciplinary teaching preferred.
- Experience working with diverse student populations is an advantage.
