Highly skilled professional with solid experience in welding processes, metal fabrication, and supervision of operational teams in industrial environments. Possesses extensive knowledge of quality standards (AWS, ASME, ISO), industrial safety, blueprint interpretation, and materials management. Ensures compliance with technical standards while optimizing time and resources during the execution of manufacturing projects.
Role Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with quality and safety standards throughout the entire manufacturing process.
- Verify that work is carried out according to blueprints, technical specifications, and approved welding procedures (WPS).
- Develop Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and welding work instructions.
- Coordinate internal and external inspections, ensuring full traceability of materials.
- Validate the skills of newly hired welders.
- Prepare progress reports, time control, and production records.
- Train personnel in welding techniques, safety, and best manufacturing practices.
- Resolve technical issues during the manufacturing process.
- Manage conflicts and provide effective problem-solving.
- Collaborate with the engineering department to address technical challenges during fabrication.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related fields.
- 3 years of experience as a welding and fabrication process engineer in industries such as metal structures, boiler-making, or industrial plants.
- Training in welding inspection, ASME/AWS standards, and industrial safety.
- Advanced English proficiency.
- Advanced knowledge of welding processes (SMAW, GMAW, GTAW, FCAW, etc.).
- Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings and welding symbols (AWS).
- Experience in quality control, destructive and non-destructive testing (NDT: VT, PT, UT, RT).
- Knowledge of applicable standards: AWS, ASME, ISO, API.
- Experience handling technical documentation: WPS, PQR, WPQ.
Preferred Qualifications
- Additional training in welding inspection, ASME/AWS standards, and industrial safety.
- Desirable certifications in welding processes (e.g., CWI - Certified Welding Inspector/Instructor).
