Typical Accountabilities:
- Support Business Partnering across relevant SET areas to manage and where appropriate mitigate business risk/ realise the value of opportunities
- Prepare quality financial analysis and insightful commentaries to develop recommendations and solutions
- Support the implementation of change initiatives to deliver performance improvement, risk reduction and enhance governance
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, governance and internal processes and procedures.
- Under the direction of senior managers, produce relevant data and analysis to support Specialist Finance recommendations to the business
- Support management of specific day to day risks and exposures and provide input into financial strategies and inter-company transactions across the general organisation
- Significantly contribute towards and/or lead minor Specialist Finance or business led projects
- Operational execution of aspects of Specialist Finance strategy relevant to the role
- Coach, performance manage and support analysts within specialist area.
Systems Accountant
- Actively work to improve the monthly reporting process, developing and expanding the reports to provide a more useful, comprehensive and business focused sets of data for all stakeholders, by proactively developing reports to better reflect the customer’s needs




- Is the first line contact for all the reporting related queries from other business areas
- Translate customer accounting and reporting requirements into design specifications for the 3rd party developers.
- Work with testers and business representatives to conduct User Acceptance Tests
- Monitor external developments and identify best practice ideas
- Plan and implement /operate the Group-wide SOX 404 activities to ensure annual compliance. Lead independent testing in more complex or high risk parts of the business
Essential:
- Recently qualified / part-qualified specialist finance professional
- Experience of working as a service provider within or to a large organisation
- Experience of working within regulatory frameworks
- Significant experience within a specialist area, e.g. tax, treasury, with experience in a specific discipline, e.g. corporate tax, fixed income investments
- Systems Account Experience
- Experience of working in a management reporting role is desirable
- Experience of corporate governance and/or financial controls
- Able to influence and communicate across a wide range of functions / countries to a senior level
- Experience working with diverse customer groups with varying needs and levels of seniority.
- Knowledge of service level management principles
Desirable
- Specialist financial qualification to support general financial qualifications
