Job Summary
- To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a _Production Manager_ (Metals) located in Guadalajara, North Campus._
- This role involves guidance and coordination activities of employees engaged in the following areas of a manufacturing department; multi-level assembly, mechanical and enclosures quality assurance to attain production goals consistent with cost, quality, and delivery requirements._
What a typical day looks like:
- _ Guide department activities to hold up design of new products, modify existing designs, improve production techniques, and helps on test procedures._
- _ Execute and provide input to functional plans and objectives for the site._
- _ Create functional processes or technologies_
- _ Contribute with management, production, and marketing staff to resolve manufacturing feasibility, cost effectiveness, and customer demand for new and existing products._
- _ Forecasts operating costs of department and directs preparation of budget requests._
- _ Partners with team and management in the development of the strategic plan and Annual Operating Plan (AOP) for the function._
- _ Reviews and establishes material, equipment, and manpower resource requirements._
- _ Prioritize production schedules based on product introduction, equipment efficiency, and materials supply to meet customer requirements._




- _ Coordinates production activities with other functional groups such as planning and distribution._
- _ Selects and develops personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the production function._
- _ Accountable for controlling manufacturing operation and ensuring that production quality and cost targets are met._
- _ Working in extremely complex problems where the research of situations or data from an evaluation of intangible factors._
- _ Reviews budgets and schedules required by management._
- _ Regulate relations with the executives and/or major customers to maintain relationships with them._
- _ Resolve controversial situations, customer negotiations, or influencing and persuading management levels for the achievements of the plant._
The experience we’re looking to add to our team:
- _BA/BS degree._
- _NPI experience_
- _Basic english_
- _Experience in similar position in metals manufacturing environment._
- _Experience in product lifecycle systems (Agile)_
- _Experience in the use of Floor shop systems._
- _Experience in ECO's implementation._
- Knowledge in assembly processes (End to End)._
- _Experience in BAAN system (SAP)._
- _Decision maker._
- _Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions_
- _Ability to read, analyze and interpret MPI._
- _Excellent communication skills._
