**The Role**
As a Mainframe Storage Administrator at Kyndryl, you’ll be responsible for managing enterprise storage environments to ensure data integrity, optimal performance, and service continuity. In this role, you will support critical business operations by efficiently managing storage resources, ensuring reliable backup and recovery processes, and maintaining high availability across complex mainframe platforms.
You are a detail-oriented technical professional who works closely with infrastructure, systems, and operations teams to optimize storage utilization and reduce recovery times. Your expertise contributes directly to system stability, compliance, and operational excellence in large-scale enterprise environments.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Manage and administer mainframe storage environments to ensure data integrity, availability, and performance
- Optimize storage utilization and capacity planning to support business growth and operational efficiency
- Support backup, recovery, and disaster recovery processes to minimize recovery time objectives (RTO)
- Configure, monitor, and maintain DFSMS and other mainframe storage management tools
- Perform storage monitoring, troubleshooting, and incident resolution in production environments
- Maintain documentation, standards,



and operational procedures related to storage management

**Who You Are**

**Required Skills and Experience**
- 7+ years of experience managing mainframe storage or enterprise storage environments
- Hands-on experience with DFSMS and mainframe storage management concepts
- Experience ensuring data integrity, backup, and recovery in production systems
- Knowledge of storage performance optimization and recovery time management
- Experience supporting critical systems in 24x7 operational environments
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with infrastructure, systems, and operations teams
**Preferred Skills and Experience**
- Intermediate English proficiency for documentation and collaboration with integral teams
- Experience with enterprise storage platforms, including DELL Storage and IBM VTS equipment
- Experience working in regulated or highly controlled IT environments
- Familiarity with IT operations, service management,



or mainframe infrastructure support
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
